Longwave should do the trick. Most amber fluoresces with UV, glowing a blueish to green color. Also, amber will float in a heavy salt water.

The Sierra Madre del Sur contains three amber-bearing Formations, beginning at the youngest: Balumtun Sandstone, Mazantic Shale, and La Quinta Fm.; amber is most frequently found in the Mazantic Shale and La Quinta Formations, and is associated with layers of lignite, and found in calcareous marine sandstones, siltstones, and shales. You almost want a feather touch when doing this. Amber and copal for those of you that like copal is soft. So too much pressure and speed can lead to heating, cracking, or deeper scratches that you will still have to remove… I prefer hand sanding for all but the final SOFT cotton polishing.
amber luong, It takes longer but it gives better control.. Amber isn't nearly as rare as some may think and many real specimens with insects are found and sold across the world. (More than 1% are genuine). More than 1% are genuine? Are more than 98% inauthentic? This is a sincere question.
