I haven't shown any symptoms and I don't remember ever having a cold sore. Genital HSV1 is less infectious than oral HSV1, and since there is no requirement to disclose oral HSV1 (most people don't even know they carry it, as they get zero symptoms and it's not a routine test -- that's why it's common), it could be argued there's no need to disclose genital HSV1. Or you can just causally mention you carry the cold sore virus, but don't specify where. Avoid sex too ...
