micu medical, Developed in the 1960s, SDUs were designed to alleviate congestion in the ICU. I am currently a nursing student, but I have a few questions regarding MICU vs. SICU. I know that I want to be an ICU nurse after I graduate from nursing school... What are the differences between nursing in the MICU vs. SICU/STICU?

In your opinion, is there one that is better than the other? If so, why? Could anyone tell me what a MICU/SICU nurse deals with on a shift? What are your responsibilities?
