Tnbc Survivors - MySport

Orginally diagnosed with tnbc November 2019. Treated very aggressivly at my request, chemo, DMX, radiation, capecitabine, hysterectomy (just in case)...and I go to a routine Scan to find mets in my femur, hip, and spine. I am new to this forum and to the world of TNBC.

I was diagnosed in January 2018, had a lumpectomy in... I was diagnosed with tnbc July 24 when breastfeeding. Did all the standard treatment, mastectomy, Pembrolizimab, radiotherapy all went fairly smoothly but I have local recurrence on breast and supraclavicular lymph nodes. I'm her2 low, so have started enhertu, but my gut feeling is it isn't doing much so far.

tnbc survivors, My daughter took birth control pills from the time she was 15 to help with severe menstrual cramps. Therefore she had been on them for 20+ years at the time she was diagnosed with TNBC. Oral contraceptives (OC) are prescribed for young women as a matter of course for lots of reasons, including acne. Recurrence is more common for TNBC patients in the first two years after treatment than for hormone positive bc patients. BUT - they're not talking about recurrence in the previously cancerous, fully treated breast.

tnbc survivors, This is something I sure as hell didn't fully understand until I had this recurrence!
